Dear IMPEL members and colleagues,
We are happy to invite you and open the registration for the 4 Networks Day (Friday 21 May 2021, (online), organized by IMPEL, EnviCrimeNet, ENPE, and EUFJE, and hosted by the LIFE+ SATEC project.
The overall goal of the event is to bring all relevant parties – regulators, inspectors, police officers, prosecutors and judges – together to debate joint efforts to fight environmental crime: Together in the fight against environmental crime.
During the morning, the Plenary Event will focus on two key topics: the revision of the Directive 2008/99/EC on environmental crime and the next EU multi-annual Policy Cycle to tackle Organized and Serious International Crime (2022-2025).
In the afternoon 5 parallel workshops will be held, focusing on:
- BIOVAL (developing a tool for the evaluation of damage to species in court)
- Shipment of Waste Enforcement Actions (SWEAP) project
- Illegal plastic waste shipment
- Wildlife crime, including a recent case study
- F-gasses and biodiesel fraud
The messages from the workshops will be presented to the Plenary with the aim to distil joint statements of the networks on the above mentioned key topics
The 4 Networks Day is a Green Week Partner Event. The intention is to present the key messages of the 4 Networks Day during the Green Week
