The secretariat staff is made up of a team of six officers: Will Fawcett, Carmen Herreras, Pinar Topkaya, Fotini Stamati, Claudia Wunderlich and Michiel Curfs.
Will Fawcett is responsible for IMPEL’s Organisational and Operational support. His main tasks are to plan, coordinate and follow up of board and GA meetings. He supports the Chair and Vice Chair in their work. He drafts the grant requests and reports in collaboration with Board, Expert Team leads, project and financial officer. He manages the external communications including enhancing the IMPEL website and IT support. He coordinates the secretariat and links and manages suppliers of goods and services. And he manages the records of IMPEL.
Carmen Herreras oversees IMPEL’s internal communication. She is responsible for the communication support of National Coordinators and experts and facilitates networking and best practice exchange. She propagates project results and best practices, publishes program and audit results and grant reports. She propagates the IMPEL calendar and oversees the membership relation management, transfer of knowledge and information, she ensures transparency on actions and decisions. Finally, she maintains the relationship with other European implementation networks/stakeholders.
Pinar Topkaya is in charge of project management. She establishes project management solutions and oversees project and activities budget. She develops the budget plans for the programme of projects and grant requests, project plans and yearly programmes and ensures control. She tracks, monitors and forecasts spending, and monitors and reports the progress of projects. She reports for high level management and grant reporting. She manages requests for information and communication with key stakeholders.
Fotini Stamati provides IMPEL’s general administrative support. She distributes messages from the Board and the General Assembly to the network. She supports planning and documentation of the General Assembly meetings. She provides administrative support of Basecamp 3 communication from the Board, Expert Teams, Projects, and the General Assembly to network. She manages members’ access on Basecamp 3 and maintains and updates our contact information list.
Claudia Wunderlich is taking care of IMPEL’s financial administration. She prepares internal and external audits and financial reports, she coordinates with the budgetary units in the European Commission, manages tax liabilities in cooperation with external accountant and Belgium authorities. She is providing the financial information for the Board, PMG and operational support in collaboration with the project officers and controlling IMPEL’s cash and reserve funds as IMPEL’s finance officer
