On the 5th of July a successful meeting took place between the Croatian Ministry of Environment and Energy, the Directorate for Inspection Affairs and the IMPEL Board, hosted by Mr. Dario Matanovic, Minister Assistant.
National representatives of each of the IMPEL Expert Teams – Air and Industry, Water and Land, Waste and TFS, Nature Protection and Cross-Cutting Tools and Approaches – participated in this fruitful meeting. There was a share of knowledge and challenges faced and of the ways IMPEL and the Croatian authorities can work most effectively together to help tackle these challenges.
The results from Croatian involvement and active contribution to IMPEL´s work is reported and available at the Croatian Ministry´s website. Further work is being developed to embed and ensure the best use of IMPEL products into national practices.
Chris Dijkens, Chair of IMPEL, congratulated the Croatian Ministry of Environment and Energy and the Directorate for Inspection Affairs for its high commitment as well as the willingness to further contribute on the implementation and contribution of IMPEL´s work at the national level.
