19 May, 2025

On May 19th, the IMPEL Project "Wastewater in Natural Environment (WiNE)" took center stage at the International Workshop on Water Treatment and Reuse in Yixing (Wuxi), China. This significant event was held as part of the 12th meeting of the ISO Technical Committee 282 on Water Reuse.

The presentation highlighted the water circularity indexes developed by the WiNE project. These innovative tools are designed for both installations and products, offering a comprehensive way to evaluate water usage, including how water is reused. This empowers authorities and other key players to make informed decisions that support environmental rules and promote sustainable practices.

The WiNE project's work was met with significant acclaim and overwhelmingly positive feedback. This strong response emphasizes just how important and versatile the project is in helping authorities and operators improve compliance and advance sustainable water use worldwide.
