Water and Land Remediation Project at AquaConSoil 2025, 16-20 June, Liège

The IMPEL Water and Land Remediation Project participated in this year’s AquaConSoil Conference, a key event for soil and water management experts across Europe. The team presented a poster showcasing the project’s progress, including QR codes linking to all published reports, making it easy for visitors to explore our results directly.

We were pleased to welcome Bavo Peeters from the European Commission’s DG Environment – Soil Unit, who is currently involved in drafting the Soil Monitoring Law. His visit and support were a strong recognition of the relevance and quality of the project’s work.

The next reports soon to be published will focus on two remediation techniques: Biopiles and In Situ Chemical Reduction (ISCR). Meanwhile, we are actively collecting case studies on Solidification/Stabilisation and Permeable Reactive Barriers (PRBs).

We welcome contributions until 30 September 2025. If you have relevant case studies to share, please visit our project page and upload your input 👉here.

Your contribution will help strengthen the network’s shared knowledge and support better environmental outcomes across Europe.
