  • El Comité Directivo del Equipo de Expertos en Industria y Aire de IMPEL se reunió en Bruselas y mantuvo un encuentro con la Comisión Europea

    Los días 3 y 4 de abril se reunieron en Bruselas todos los responsables de los grupos de trabajo del Equipo de Expertos en Industria y Aire. Debatieron los avances de sus grupos y tuvieron una lluvia de ideas sobre el próximo ciclo de proyectos en 2025-2027. En los próximos meses, antes del verano, la mayoría de los grupos de trabajo celebrarán sus reuniones F2F y muchos de ellos también organizarán una visita in situ o una inspección conjunta. Muchos de ellos también organizarán un breve seminario web poco después de su reunión al que podrán unirse todos los miembros de IMPEL, así que no pierda de vista las noticias de IMPEL. Si le interesa algún tema, póngase en contacto con el responsable del grupo de trabajo. Los líderes de los grupos de trabajo también hablaron de la reunión híbrida del equipo de expertos que se celebrará los días 17 y 18 de octubre de 2023 en Stuttgart, donde se reunirán todos los grupos de trabajo.

  • IMPEL Implementation of the Bird and Habitat Directives at European Aerodromes Project realizó su primera visita a aeródromos

    Los aeródromos cubren una parte importante de Europa, diseminados por todo el continente, y albergan una gran variedad de especies vegetales y animales europeas. Algunos de estos animales, especialmente las especies de aves y otros animales pesados y/o que vuelan en bandadas, constituyen uno de los mayores peligros para la aviación. Al colisionar con aeronaves (colisión entre aeronaves y fauna silvestre), las aves y otros animales pueden poner en peligro la seguridad de las aeronaves, su tripulación y pasajeros (y las personas que viven en las proximidades de los aeródromos y fuera de ellos).

  • IMPEL Wastewater in Natural Environment (WiNE) Project Team made a site visit in Murcia, Spain

    On 23 March 2023, under the IMPEL Project Wastewater in Natural Environment (WiNE), the project team went to the region of Murcia, Spain, to visit wastewater treatment plants/reclamation plants that produce water for crops irrigation. The main goal of the visit was to understand and identify best practices on water reuse and how in an area with high scarcity, the extensive fresh vegetables production is possible due to reclaimed waters.

    Water and Land Remediation Project Manager Marco Falconi attended the 22nd Intersol Conference that is taking place in Lille from 28 to 30 March 2023. The Conference focuses on 6 major themes including sustainable soil management, treatment of pollutants in soil, biodiversity and environmental risks. Marco Falconi presented the results of IMPEL Water and Land Remediation Project at the Conference on 28 March 2023 under Sustainable Soil Management - How to achieve and promote strategic, ambitious and sustainable soil management?: Soils multifunctionality Session.

  • IMPEL National Peer Review Initiative Project

    The project aims at setting the basis for the development of autonomous Peer Review activities in National Networks of Environmental Authorities and Agencies. It can be used as an instrument to improve own performances through dialog, collaborative confrontation and sharing of good practices among the peers belonging to the same network. The NPRI has been recognised as a powerful tool to support the implementation of the EU ECA initiative, in particular because of its potential to apply good and best practices and its contribution to harmonisation in the execution of tasks and responsibilities by authorities. The NPRI project involves 20 institutions from 15 European countries that are part of IMPEL.
