The meeting of the management of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and representatives of the IMPEL network was dedicated, inter alia, to the possibility of cooperation through participation in projects and using the developed IMPEL methodologies, through the support and exchange of experiences with the Member States, with the aim of implementing European environmental standards in Serbia. The presentations given by the Serbian colleagues highlighted some impressive work already done on water, waste air, soil and nature protection.

Chris Dijkens, Chair of IMPEL said: “We acknowledge the huge challenge and work already done in transposing and implementing environmental legislation by Serbian Environmental Authorities. It was a privilege to welcome you as an IMPEL member in 2016 and it is a privilege to be here today, sharing our work experiences learning with each other and strenghning our cooperation.”

Serbia is an IMPEL member since the December 2016.
