IMPEL is looking for a service provider to work on an expected average of 1 day per week from 15 December 2020 until 1 April 2021 to work as a moderator on the IMPEL-ESIX exchange of information by adding relevant content on the website, providing newsletters, messages on IKB and by connecting enforcement officers based on information about possible infringements.
Working with a project leader from within the IMPEL network, the moderator will provide high quality support to this IMPEL-ESIX project. The moderator must have current and relevant experience of work in combatting illegal killing, trade and destruction of various flora and fauna species, and illegal logging. Thorough knowledge of the legislative framework in Europe is key, as is an understanding of the broad range of techniques and approaches to countering serious organised crime in this field.
The moderator communicates with permitters, inspectors, police, prosecutors, judges and representatives from NGOs in the field of nature crimes. As such the nature expert must have excellent communication skills, be flexible, have an attention to detail and must be able to respond quickly at relevant exchange of information.
Professional use of English, both written and oral, and excellent presentation skills are a pre-requisite.
A 3,5-month service contract will be awarded to the successful applicant from 15 December 2020 until 1 April 2021 and work with the project leader appointed by IMPEL. For more information, please contact John Visbeen 0031 (0)6 15286405, email@example.com.
