IMPEL General Assembly nominates new Chair and Vice-Chair

November 20, 2019

During their annual meeting, this time in Helsinki, the General Assembly of IMPEL nominated Kristina Rabe as Chair and Robert Ruzicka as Vice-Chair of the Board of IMPEL.

Kristina Rabe (DE) has been the German National IMPEL Coordinator for several years. She is advisor for the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety. She says:

I cherish the network as a valuable element of European cooperation. It is my conviction that for the protection of the European and the global environment, we have to work together constructively, courageously and efficiently, upholding and defending the aim of environmental protection and the rule of law.

Robert Ruzicka (SK) is the Director General of the Slovak Environmental Inspectorate. He adds:

The work of IMPEL brings not only ecological but also economic benefits since environmental protection or the rational use of resources does not hamper economic growth. Therefore, it is important to work systematically and improve our international cooperation in this area.

These two nominations complete the IMPEL Board to its full capacity of 8 members.
