BIOVAL: joint project to value ecological damages for potential use during prosecution of wildlife crime

As IMPEL works alongside BIOVAL as a partner on a joint project of EUFJE, ENPE, KU Leuven and IMPEL. The aim is to create a non-binding, practical instrument to value ecological damages. A major advantage of using a valuation instrumenting both administrative and civil procedures would be the greater legal certainty and the shorter case duration.

IMPEL General Assembly votes for a future proof IMPEL

On the 2nd and 3rd of December 2020 the General Assembly of IMPEL, the highest body in the organization, concluded its annual meeting on a positive note. Ana Garcia from IGAMAOT in Portugal has been elected as IMPEL chair. Jean-Luck Perrin from the Ministry for Ecological Transition has been elected as Vice Chair Projects for IMPEL. Kristina Rabe from the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety was elected to be Vice Chair Administration at IMPEL.
