IMPEL Cross Cutting Tools and Approaches Expert Team Meeting

IMPEL Cross Cutting Tools and Approaches Expert Team Meeting took place on 27 September 2023 in Rome at the Italian Institute for Environmental Protection and Research (ISPRA) headquarters. Projects under IMPEL Cross Cutting Tools and Approaches Expert Team have also organised back-to-back events with this meeting.  

44 experts from 20 countries attended the events on site and many more joined online.  

Focus of the IMPEL Cross Cutting Tools and Approaches Expert Team Meeting was to provide an update on IMPEL Projects that are running in 2022-2024 under the Cross Cutting Tools and Approaches Expert Team. The experts also started their discussion on new project ideas for 2025-2027.  

On 25-26 September 2023, Geospatial Intelligence for Environmental Damage Assessment (GIEDA) Project held a project team meeting to plan and discuss future activities of the project. The project aims to contribute on information needs related to illegal activities affecting the environmental matrices, demonstrating the capacity in producing a posteriori evidences of environmental damage caused by environmental incidents, violations, eco-criminal acts. 

On 26 September 2023, Criteria for the Assessment of the Environmental Damage (CAED) Project held a project team meeting, with the presence and collaboration of the Knowledge & Information Program (KIP) Project manager and members, to plan and discuss the training activities to be organised in 2024 as well as the project training material and webtool to be provided. 

On 26 September 2023, Climate Emergency Umbrella Programme Project organised a project team meeting to plan and discuss the project activities for 2023 and 2024.
